The Fall Science Semester

Well this is it. The dreaded science semester. Four classes...nothing but science. Can I do it? We will see. The cheering section is in place with fingers crossed.

That's no joke

I don't care what anyone says, Oklahoma City Community College is NO JOKE! Those classes require a student to participate. Doing the homework is necessary to be successful in the class. And there's no grade for homework. Blah...I hate homework. I will succeed! I will succeed!  

Stop the Worry AND Sleep!

Three AM and I'm awake with school on the mind. Why? All classes are scheduled and ready for the transfer. Pending admission is, well, pending. University recruiters have been met. What's going on inside my mind that has me awake at this hour? Hmm...

All first tests and labs are in...OMG! I get this. I really get this. I'm soooo excited I might actually open the text book and study just because..."I get this!"
That feeling you get when everything sort of clicks is still the second best feeling in the world.

(Sigh) What a RELIEF!

The test results are in and I scored one full letter grade higher then I had hoped. OMG!!! I'm sooo excited I could break open the book and study. What a big (sigh) relief. Points to spare ... always a good sign early in any semester.

I'd rather watch Basketball...

Test results are still pending. After what was said in class today...OMG...I still don't know how to round significant figures? Really...awwwh. Just hand me my test paper so I can stop worrying about the unknown.

Day Two

I realized today that I had missed lab. Note to self...lab is Mondays and Wednesdays not Tuesday. I took the safety quiz with the other lab session. Hopefully my Professor will accept it. WHY would the computer print my scheduele out of order? Answer: Lab is before Lecture only because A is before E.
And only because Aliens don't wear hats.   

Day One...

The first day of summer school and I learned something. Did you know, in terms of significant figures, Bill Gates and you are worth the same? I KNOW...REALLY!!! Gates is worth $37 million dollars. I have two dollars. We both have TWO sig figs. I feel sooooo worthy.

Summer School Ride

Scooter is cleaned, tuned, filled and ready for summer school. Well almost ready. I still need to get his student parking sticker. And he's not a moped...he's a scooter.  

Let the Adventure Begin!

After 17 years 11 months my "job" came to an end. In two weeks my quest for a career begins. Having been through three economic downturns since college, I've decided to expand my horizons. A portable skill always in demand "somewhere" is what I'm looking for this go around. A business degree isn't enough any longer. So I will be tossing in a little science to enhance my future.
Follow along and see as this ole brain attempts to catch on to nursing. Freshman chemistry is the starting point. Keeping an open mind, utilizing all resources available...study study study. Wish me luck.
